It’s an action-adventure stealth video game and one that truly pushes the boundaries of gaming by having a variety of mechanics that allow for a high degree of player freedom. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain(2015)Ģ015 was a great game for gaming as two titles from it are on this list of best PC games of all time, and the second, Metal Gear Solid V perhaps differs from all the rest titles the most. And it’s that which made this RTS/turn-based strategy game stand out. Despite being a part of a very successful franchise, it’s the conquering of Europe under the banners of Julii, Brutii, or Scipii that stuck in the collective memories of gamers.
Rome: Total War managed to do that on the scale, graphics, and the addictive gameplay. The best games of all time are not just enjoyable, they move the whole industry forward and give us a glimpse into what was then considered as the future. Almost a perfect video game, and definitely one of the best PC games of all time. The story and the graphics draw you into the world of Half-Life 2 like the gravity gun, and the pure entertainment makes you revisit it for so long. One of the most iconic first person shooters that is equally impressive on the surface as it is at its core. The hiccups that Gabe Newell constantly has are the result of the sheer brilliance of the Half-Life 2. The cries for the sequel to this game are too hard not to include it on the list.
